How to get your corporate email delivered to your phone

Let's say you want to get email from your office onto your phone and your company uses something like Microsoft Outlook and you don't know what OWA (Outlook Web Access) is or if it is setup at your company. This guide will help you setup a "slingshot" program to get your work email delivered to your phone.

A slingshot works like this: email is delivered to your computer and the slingshot program notices this and then sends that message along to the phone's email. The slingshot program runs on your computer in the background. Note: you'll have to leave the computer running the slingshot program on all the time in order for the slingshot to work. IT admins might want to just setup the Sprint slingshot program on a spare computer or a server which runs all the time if there are more than one Sprint users in the company.

Setup Slingshot User

  1. On your phone go to Email (the big @ symbol on the carosel) > +Add Email Account
  2. Choose Add Account from the email main menu. The wizard starts.
  3. Choose a service: Work
  4. If you have OWA then choose Yes, otherwise No.
  5. Are you ready to sign into Sprint Mobile Email Personal Account: Choose How do I get Ready?
  6. Input your work email address and Sprint will send you instructions.
  7. Here is what Sprint emailed me:

	in Step 2.   Click "Connect".

	IMPORTANT: You must leave your PC on and the Desktop Connector application
	running to access email from your mobile device.

	4. On your mobile device, follow the instructions to register your work
	account.

	5. You now have secure, real-time access to both your personal and corporate
	email.

    When I went there my web browsers all complained about the site's server certificate not being valid but I just added exceptions and continued on anyway. The link came straight from Sprint so I trust it.
  8. Fill out the form and download the slingshot program.
